I deserve (or rather, would like) to win the free ticket to SMiBCon because I am a poor MA student. I wish I could afford to eat, drink and attend conferences here in London, but the truth is ... I have a massive student loan and I lose 40% of that in the exchange, so I rarely can afford to purchase tickets to these events. If not for the goodwill and occasional freebie being offered via the coolest kids in social media, like you, I would be starved, thirsty and less educated.

Now, I have a more serious reason to deserve this opportunity. My MA research ties in with many of these talks, and it would be a great way to complete research and have some questions answered in one day and by people I have come to know and respect in their fields. And to complete your terms, live blogging it means that I Iliterally will be passing my research notes on to others and turning my summary of 'a-ha' moments into a guest post for you.

So please, consider me or take pity on me. Either way, choose me! Choose me! :D

This began as a competition entry and it's now more of a blurb than a comment. It may spark a comeback. Let's see. I'm a recovering NHS senior manager - who until as recently as June this year, used to work for the NHS. I have lots to say and, for a complete change, am about to launch into network marketing. I will have even more to say about my transition and the transition faced by the UK public services (and services world-wide) which will suffer the consequences of conflicting policies, regulations and requirements whilst having their fiscal undercarriage kicked around until the audible pain is not only heard but is felt by us all. OUCH!! - I'm getting advanced shock pains already. Oh, and I'm terribly interested in business linked to and from social media, though my virgin-like state means I see endless possibilities even before I've taken the chance to jump in the sack.
I shall be keen to hear what others blog about the coming miasma. The intrigue that will be our services, once the consultant piper is paid and we discover just how much isn't left in the coffers, must be converted to inspiration..and quickly
